Montreal, Quebec, Canada – MENODYS and the Office of Sponsored Research, McGill’s commercialization group, have agreed to the terms of an exclusive worldwide licence to a medical device developed by Prof. Satya Prakash, Director of Biomedical Technology and Cell Therapy Research Laboratory, Dr. Mirko Gilardino, Assistant Professor of Surgery and Cranial/Facial Plastic Surgeon, and Mr. Jonathan Kanevsky, medical student, all of whom are associated with McGill University. This technological innovation, already protected under a provisional patent, aims at reducing and improving the appearance of dermatological scars, including minimizing the development of hypertrophic scars.
